Hi everyone! My name is Nikki (she/her) and I am the owner of Rubber Rose Books & Print. I was born and raised in Kankakee so it is truly a dream to own and manage a business in my community. I believe that reading should be accessible to everyone regardless of class, status, or ability. I hope that you can find warmth and comfort in the vibes of my little shop where inclusivity is a priority.

You can expect to find an abundance of gently used books in every genre and a special curated section of new books including local authors. We also sell handmade soy candles, macrame, bookmarks, art prints, and jewelry all made by local artists. The Rubber Rose Lounge is now open for reading any time during business hours. Make yourself a free cup of coffee or tea and relax with your favorite book, or get some work done with our complimentary wifi. The lounge is available to book after hours for small events and book clubs as well!
